Some Pierre songs were redone under the Prick moniker, and Kevin regularly passed along demos to friend and former Pierre bandmate Trent Reznor.  Kevin had a deal with Interscope  in place, but was having problems with the label.  Reznor would go on to move him under his Nothing sub-label, for the release of his self-titled debut.  Prick also found a major opening slot on the David Bowie \/ Nine Inch Nails Outside tour.  Prick generated some mainstream radio play with the small hit 'Animal'.  Kevin did not care for the mainstream attention, however.
